Quick Answer

Prompterly keeps everything on your device. Your scripts are stored locally, and your recordings are saved to your own photo library. The app has no account, no login, and no analytics. We do not collect, upload, sell, or share any of your data. Period.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Prompterly mobile application ("Prompterly," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information. Prompterly is published by WETYR Corp (operating as MarkCMO). Prompterly is a teleprompter app that lets you write scripts and read them on screen while you record video.

Prompterly is built to be private by design. The app runs entirely on your device and does not send your content anywhere.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Prompterly has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server that receives your data. Specifically:

  • We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
  • We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not transmit your scripts, recordings, or settings to us or to anyone else.

Your Scripts

The scripts you create in Prompterly are stored locally on your device using the device's on-device storage. They never leave your device and are not visible to us. If you delete a script in the app, or uninstall the app, that script data is removed from your device.

Camera and Microphone

Prompterly asks for camera and microphone permission so you can record yourself while reading your script. The camera preview and any audio are processed only on your device to create your recording. Prompterly does not stream, upload, or store this footage on any server. Nothing is sent to us.

Recordings and Your Photo Library

When you save a recording, Prompterly writes the video file to your device's own photo library using the system media library. The recording stays on your device under your control, exactly like a video you record with your phone's built-in camera. We have no access to your photo library or your saved recordings.

Permissions We Request

  • Camera: to show the live preview and record video while you read your script.
  • Microphone: to record audio together with your video.
  • Photo Library: to save your finished recordings to your device.

You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device's system settings. If you decline a permission, the related feature (for example, recording) will be unavailable, but the rest of the app will continue to work.

Data Sharing

Because Prompterly does not collect or receive your data, there is nothing for us to share, sell, rent, or trade. We do not share any of your information with third parties, because we never have it in the first place.

Data Retention and Deletion

All Prompterly data lives on your device. You are always in control:

  • Delete an individual script from inside the app to remove it.
  • Delete a recording from your photo library to remove it.
  • Uninstall Prompterly to remove all of its stored scripts and settings from your device.

Children's Privacy

Prompterly is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no data at all, no personal information from any user, child or adult, is ever gathered.

Third-Party Services

Prompterly does not integrate any third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers. The app's functionality is provided entirely on your device through the operating system's camera, microphone, and media library.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a future version of Prompterly ever introduces a feature that involves collecting data, we will update this policy and request your consent where required before that feature is enabled.
